Nana Addo orders arrest of GFA’s Kwesi Nyantakyi
President Nana Addo has ordered the immediate arrest of the head of Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi for defrauding by false pretence.
According to Citi FM’s sources at the presidency, the President Akufo-Addo issued the order after a security briefing on Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ latest investigative expose on Ghana’s football scene.
The film has not been screened publicly screened yet but it is believed that Mr Nyantakyi who has been the president of the Ghana Football Association for 13 years may have been caught on compromised on camera.
BACKGROUND
He met some business men in Morroco to broker a sponsorship deal for the Black stars.....he brought in the President's name, his vice and other members of government...basically stated how much money should be given to them to influence them into getting them to hand over big deals to the business guys.
He mentioned that a deputy minister told him that certain amounts must be given to the prez, his vice and a minister..then he Kwasi be given $1m
businessmen were Anas and his men so all of that caught on video.
The businessmen gave appreciating him for showing up, placed in front of him $65k...handed him a black rubber bag to pack the money into it himself.
